I figure that before we have a new baby I should probably get caught up with the blog. We went to Reid Ranch with my entire extended family. It was so much fun to be with everyone. It doesn't happen very often. I wish I had taken more pictures, but I'm glad I have the ones I do.
They had pony rides for the little kids everyday, and Liam thought the horses were the most wonderful things in the world. To get to the horses you had to go on a trail through the woods, and any time there were trees on both sides of us Liam would start calling, "Horse! Here Horse!" It was super cute.
The rules for riding were a little ridiculous. Everyone, including the adults, had to wear a helmet and a life jacket. I have pictures of my family in their "outfits" but I decided not to embarass them, I may decide to post them later, haven't decided. Not sure how the life jacket was going to help if a horse kicked or bucked, but if someone happened to get thrown off a horse next to a lake, they probably wouldn't drown. Liam got used to these precautions and would go get his vest and helmet then wait impatiently for his turn.
He was a very cute cowboy and would say "Go" when it was time to start.
Jack liked the horses, but I'm not sure he was as excited as Liam, he would usually take a turn and be done, Liam would go more than once. (Mindy, this is the best picture I got of Jack on the horse. My camera was never fast enough to get one of him smiling.)
We spent most of the time outside walking around, playing on the swing set (the slide was a huge hit) and trying our hands at archery...I'm told that there were 5 and 6 year olds that were a better aim than we were.
It was a really fun trip. We didn't want it to end. Now we're home and hoping that baby Katie won't keep us waiting too much longer. We'll post pictures of her as soon as we have some!

That looks like a lot of fun!
I hope baby Katie comes soon.....for your sanity! Keep us posted!
It looks like fun! And I'm so glad our Utah trips overlapped -- even if it was just for a half an hour! I can't wait to see Baby Katie!
