Happy Birthday Liam!

I had to buy a new camera when I was in Utah last month. Liam's milk exploded on the plane ride and destroyed our other one, I would dry it off and milk would seep from different cracks and crevasses. We hate our new camera. One out of every ten pictures turns out the rest are over exposed or too dark to see. We've almost finished reading the manual, and we're getting better but most of the pictures don't turn out. I had slim pickings for Liam's birthday pics-sorry.
We celebrated on Monday, the day after Ethan and I got home, which made for some chaos. I think between my mom and Tom they went to every store in town and some of them twice. One of them went to the store and got everything for the cake and dinner, only to discover that I didn't have any powdered sugar...that's just how the day went. We didn't have the food coloring we needed, the list goes on.
Liam loved his Lightning McQueen cake. My mom baked it, and made the frosting and Tom and I tag teamed the decorating.


I think his birthday was better than Christmas. We totally spoiled him, plus we had help from grandparents and aunts and uncles! He got a geo trax train from my parents, he can't decide if he likes to push it around the track himself or use the remote. At first the remote made him really mad because he thought his train was trying to escape! Thomas's parents got him Mack. He loves it. Mack eats dinner with us. Liam puts his cars inside, shuts the door and says, "Bye! Good Trip" Which means "Bye, have a good trip" If you ask him where they are going he usually says, "Race". Tom and I got him a sand and water table. It's a mess, but he loves it. He is very good at giving us directions. He had me shoveling sand out of the water side while he was putting handfuls into it, and he had Tom making sand castles so that he could destroy them.




Ethan is doing so well. He only gets up once during the night, one of the bonuses of having a giant baby! The bruising and swelling in his face has finally gone down. He still has some blood in his eyes from popped vessels, but they look a lot better than they did. He's getting cuter and cuter everyday. Liam doesn't want to hold him yet, but is always interested in what Ethan is doing and will bring him his binks and blanket. He's a really good helper. We are having a great time with our boys.
