The weather down here in Miami is absolutely backward from what we are used to back in Utah. The best time of year is the winter months, between November and March. The weather usually stays between 75-85 degrees with lots of sun and a nice ocean breeze. During the summer months, it gets quite a bit hotter and really humid. But the summer months are referred to as the 'rainy season' because it rains everyday! (It is also considered Hurricane Season, I'll let you guess why.) I mean, it literally rains every single day, and when I say rain, it really comes down! These rain storms usually have a lot of wind, lightening, and thunder. They put quite on a show. These spells usually last about 30 min. to an hour long and can drop over an inch of rain in that time. Lately, we have been having a lot of rain, even for down here. I think that we will miss these storms when we leave, but here are some pictures from our parking lot.

We used to have storms like that in Texas--almost always in the middle of the night. They used to scare me to death, but I must say I kind of miss them now.
Matt said that it doesn't thunder and lightening in Hawaii--just rains. Wonder what the difference is between that and Miami. Both near oceans, both pretty tropical. Ask Stacy. Did she ever find out why the mountains are red?? You need to post pictures of Lindsey and baby-tummy. Love ya, MOM
I Love the rain, but I think I would get sick of it after awhile. It is beautiful there though. And I agree with your mom. Post some belly pics!
